RAISING THE SEATS (7 seat vehicle)
Always check and physically test that the cushions and seatbacks are secure before driving. If the seatbacks are not fully locked in place, red markers will be visible around the seatback levers. Unsecured seat cushions and seatbacks may not properly restrain an occupant during a collision or sudden stop, which could result in serious injury or death.
When raising the rear seats, make sure that the seat belts are correctly routed into the seat belt guides and not trapped behind the seats.
Do not attempt to raise the seats when the loadspace cover is stowed behind them. Damage to the loadspace cover will result.
The center seatback should always be raised last.
Pull the strap (3) at the front of the cushion.
Grasp the top and bottom of the seatback, lift the seat and return it to the table fold position.
Pull the release lever (1) forwards.
Pull the seatback up and push into place. When fully home, the latching mechanism will click.
