Warning labels attached to the vehicle bearing this symbol mean: Read the relevant instructions, before touching or adjusting components.

Labels showing this symbol indicate that the ignition system utilizes very high voltages. Do not touch any ignition components while the ignition is switched on.

Additional information labels may also be found at the following locations:

  1. Air Conditioning (A/C) label: Located on the hood locking platform.

  2. Engine identification information: Stamped into the engine mounting flange.

  3. Engine information label: Located on the top right side of the engine cover.

  4. Battery warning symbols: Located on the top of the battery.

  5. The Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) is stamped on to a plate, which is visible through the lowest part of the left side of the windshield.

    The VIN can also be shown in the message center via the Vehicle Information and Vehicle VIN instrument panel menus. See INSTRUMENT PANEL MENU.


    If you need to communicate with a retailer/authorized repairer, you may be asked to quote the VIN number.


    The vehicle's built-date is the calendar month and year in which the body and powertrain assemblies were conjoined and the vehicle was driven from the production line. The vehicle's built date is shown on the tire pressure label.

  6. The VIN is also stamped into the right-side, front inner fender.

  7. Air bag label and vehicle handling label: Located on the sun visors.

  8. Tire pressure and air bag warning labels.

  9. Fuel specification label: Located inside the fuel filler flap.

To make sure that the vehicle and its features are used safely, it is important to be familiar with these subjects.
